Vishal Bhandari
I am an AI & Data Science generalist, full-stack builder, and IITM BS student based in Hyderabad, India. I turn messy, open-ended problems into shipped solutions - across ML pipelines, full-stack web products, and systems that actually work in production.
My work spans AI-powered B2B tools, cultural event platforms, healthcare management systems, and academic research. I have competed at IIT Madras Kaggle challenges (Top 1%), built production-grade systems from scratch, and shipped products used by real communities.
Building a recommendation engine, designing a physics-driven UI, or structuring a retail analytics report all come down to the same discipline: understand the problem before touching the solution.
Currently pursuing a BS in Data Science at IIT Madras, building products across AI, design, and engineering along the way. Each project is a chance to raise the bar from the last one.

How I work
Systems thinking applied to engineering problems. I care about how things fit together - the data pipeline that feeds the model, the API that serves it, the interface that makes it usable. I do not treat these as separate concerns.
I have worked on retail analytics that recovered ₹72-100L in annual value, built event platforms used by thousands of students, and competed in top-tier ML competitions. Outside the codebase, I founded Ekatva, IITM BS's first regional fest, and led community work reaching 35,000+ students across Hyderabad. Every piece of work is an attempt to ship something worth using.
